Elf Cream Eyeliner in Coffee

I was on a hunt for a good brown cream or gel eyeliner when I picked this up at target last year. I had been using black eyeliner all the time so I wanted to change it up a little. Plus brown eyeliner gives you a less harsher look.

This eyeliner is part of the elf studio line so it costs $3. Not a bad price at all! So I had to try it. (You can buy elf products at target or online)

Pros:
  • Good pigmentation
  • Build able color
  • Smooth
  • Cheap price
Cons:
  • The brush that comes with this is pretty unusable...definitely get an eyeliner brush
  • I think as I've been using this, it is starting to dry out a little
All three lines were made using the cream eyeliner. I used three different eyeliner brushes. The middle swatch is darker because I went over the line a couple times to show that the color is buildable.

Maybe if the packaging was a little air right the cream wouldn't dry out as much?
I've had my Kate gel eyeliner for over a year and that hasn't dried out at all.

But, as a cheap drugstore cream eyeliner I think it does the job well. I use it basically everyday and although its not the best I've tried, I would consider repurchasing it after I run out.

  1. For three dollars, that's a great deal! I really like their eyelid mineral primer, but I haven't tried any of their other products.

    1. I've only tried the normal elf eyelid primer but I'm probably going to run out soon so maybe I'll buy the mineral one next! Thank you for the comment :)
