L'oreal Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Lacquer Lip Gloss

This is my second L'oreal lip product. I was a little skeptical buying this because a while back when I bought a different L'oreal lip product it reacted badly with my lips and it caused my lips to peel. So I strayed away from these lip products for a while. But when I saw this at the drugstore, I had to pick it up. The packaging was just too cute. haha

This is supposed to be a light-weight lip product that has the longevity of a lip stain, the shine of a lip gloss and 6 hour hydration.  Now, that's a lot to claim. But I do agree that it is a light-weight formula.  When I first put it on it felt like I was putting on tinted water on my lips. (not sticky!)  As time passes the lip gloss does stain my lips and it actually makes the color darker when it sets.  The glossiness doesn't last as long as I'd like it to.  I can't really say much about hydration but these don't react badly with my lips :) They're not necessarily hydrating but they're not dehydrating either.

The applicator is a doe foot but it has a more wider "foot".  I don't mind the width of the applicator but it feels a little flimsy.  It's not hard to apply but I wish it was more stable.

I bought the color 184 Rose On and On. This is a really light color when you first apply it.  It blends into my natural lip color but as the gloss turns into a stain, the color darkens and it actually changes my lip color.  I like the color after the stain sets in.

I bought mine at Ulta for $9.99 (I think) so I'm sure that it retails about the same at drugstores. You can get them for cheaper at Walmart or Target.  I do think that the price is a little expensive for a drugstore lip product but you could probably get a good deal if you look out for them.

I haven't had a chance to pick up more shades but I think I might pick up a darker color and see how well it holds up.  

Overall, I love how the gloss turns into a stain.  And the stain is actually long lasting.  It's the perfect pink lip color without being too pink or too light.  I've been using this when I don't have much time to touch up during the day.  I'd recommend this product but I can't say if I recommend the whole line since I haven't tried out any other ones.
